I know, there are only a few movie reviews on here right now. Well, I just started this venture about a week and a half ago!
I am a writer and a graphic designer by trade. However, I love movies! Even more than watching them in darkness of a theater, I love discussing them with my friends and family...really, anyone who will listen.
This blog is something that I've been comtemplating for a while now, and finally, one night I came home from the The Last Airbender and just jumped in up to my neck. Why have I been hesitating to combine my writing with my passion for the cinema? Maybe I was afraid no one would read it, I don't know...but you're here, aren't you?
Ever walk into the late show and see someone sitting alone in the darkness? That was probably me. It's what I do to relax and break away from every day life. It's what I do when I'm fighting with my husband and need a "time out." Most importantly, it's often what I do with my son, who has never seen a movie he didn't absolutely love!
You may think that I'm too easy on some of these flicks. Rarely do I walk out of a theater thinking "WOW! That was an amazing waste of time!" It does happen, but not often.
So, here's what I think, and please feel free to let me know what you think! That's is one of the great things about movie blogs, everyone has their own opinion. Can we all be right? Hmmmmmm...
I love movies. They are my favorite form of recreation. There's something about the big-screen experience, either at the theater or at the drive-in, that just speaks to me. It's a passion that I share with my son, Ricky. We try to go once a week, and he gets so excited when we talk about them after. So who am I to tell you what movie to see or not see? I'm just a writer and a mom. You may have opinions that differ from mine, and I welcome spirited debate. So let's talk movies!
